Celebrating “Young Alumni Talent Award” (Culinary Arts-South) | Australian Alumni Award 2024

The Australian Alumni Association extends its heartfelt congratulations to the recipients of the 2024 Australian Alumni Awards.

We are proud to recognize Mr. Nattaphon Othanawathakij, Chef and Owner of HEH Phuket, with the Young Alumni Talent Award (Culinary Arts – South).

Mr. Nattaphon Othanawathakij has achieved remarkable success in the culinary arts, establishing HEH in Phuket, which earned recognition in the Michelin Guide after his nearly decade-long experience in Melbourne’s culinary scene.

His leadership and culinary expertise led his team to victory in Iron Chef Thailand 2021 and Top Chef Thailand 2023. Beyond his achievements in the kitchen, Mr. Othanawathakij also made history as Thailand’s first snowboarder to earn a world ranking spot in 2018, showcasing his diverse talents and dedication to excellence.

[He completed a Diploma in Commercial Cookery at William Angliss Institute in 2013, located in Melbourne, Australia.]

Once again, congratulations on this remarkable achievement. We look forward to celebrating your success and continued contributions to society.

Since 2016, admission to AAA Thailand events have been free of charge. However, the AAA Thailand Committee reserves the right to charge nominal fees for certain events from July 2020 onwards. For events organised by the Australian Embassy, AAA Thailand will submit names of alumni members to the embassy on a rotation basis. However, the final decision as to which alumni are invited rests with the Australian Embassy.
